Reciprocal Peer Coaching is an engaging 1.5-hour session designed to accelerate your credentialing journey and enhance your coaching skills through peer exchanges. This session is an integral part of our commitment to supporting members in obtaining the necessary peer coaching hours.
During the session, we will facilitate a process where you will be randomly paired with another member for a meaningful coaching exchange. You will be assigned to a breakout room to conduct your session. This allows focused and private discussions to maximize the benefit of each coaching exchange. You may also arrange further sessions by exchanging booking calendars after.
Detailed guidance will be provided at the beginning of the session to ensure all participants are clear on the process and objectives. Our facilitators will be available throughout the session to assist and answer any questions.
We are excited to provide this opportunity for all members to grow professionally, meet peers, and work collaboratively towards achieving your ICF credentials.
Program Overview:
Accreditation Hours: Reciprocal Peer coaching counts towards the PAID hours requirement for ICF credentials (100 hours for ACC, 500 hours for PCC, and 2500 hours for MCC), provided that each participating coach conducts an equal number of sessions with their peers.
Session Format (Zoom): Each Reciprocal Peer Coaching Introduction session lasts 1.5 hours, where you’ll be randomly paired with another member for a coaching exchange in the breakout rooms. Thereafter, you may arrange further sessions by exchanging booking calendars.
Sample Agenda:
First 20 minutes: Welcome, instruction brief, and ICF Competency topic of the day.
Next 60 minutes: Pairing with another coach in a breakout room to exchange a short coaching session and contact information for more reciprocal coaching sessions.
It is flexible and up to the coaches how they would use the time in the breakout room.
Some may want to have a quick introduction and then exchange a 20 min. coaching each or have one person coach first and set up another time to provide reciprocal peer coaching after.
Others may want to spend a little more time to connect first and exchange contact and schedule peer coaching sessions later.
The expectation is that the pair will exchange contact and session booking information to continue the peer coaching, coaches to share their availability and discuss frequency to meet for peer coaching.
Last 10 minutes: Regroup in the main room for a reflection and closing of the session.
