(she/her)

Sam has over 25 years of experience working in corporate and entrepreneurial environments as a senior HR leader. She has global experience in the financial services and technology sectors, leading HR in multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multicultural business environments. In these executive roles, she was called on to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives, global talent acquisition, DE&I strategies, pioneer large scale people and culture transformation projects, and employee engagement strategies as well as other strategic HR initiatives.

Leaving the corporate world, Sam started a new chapter in Canada after moving from Dubai in 2021. Currently, she runs a boutique HR consultancy offering DE&I assessments, culture change project management, and leadership coaching, all done with a diversity & inclusion lens.

Beyond her professional commitments, Sam is deeply committed to volunteer work, particularly in championing a bespoke program for individuals with disabilities in Dubai. Her impactful contributions involved introducing inclusive hiring practices within the banking & financial services sector for people with disabilities. This initiative encompassed training hiring managers and recruiters, fostering community engagement with special needs schools, and establishing policies and governance structures to ensure successful hiring, retention, and advancement of individuals with disabilities.

She also extends her time to newcomers to Canada with Brilliant Minds Group (BMG) in Ontario as one of their registered mentors.

With her lived experiences and a passion for fostering inclusive environments, Sam aspires to make meaningful contributions to the ICF Toronto community.
