President's Message
Message from our President, Abirambika Ravivarman
It is an honor to serve as the President of this vibrant and dynamic chapter—one of the largest and most respected ICF chapters globally. As we celebrate 25 years of excellence in coaching, we remain committed to fostering a community of skilled, ethical, and impactful coaches. Our chapter is a place where we come together to learn, grow, and support one another in advancing the coaching profession.
Having served on the board for the past two years, I am now stepping into the role of President with great excitement and gratitude. Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of collaborating with dedicated leaders and members who share a deep passion for coaching. With nine years of experience coaching leaders and teams, I bring a wealth of knowledge, grounded in systemic thinking, which has shaped my approach to leadership and coaching. I believe that coaching is not just about individual development but also about understanding the interconnectedness of systems—whether that’s in teams, organizations, or communities. This perspective allows me to take a holistic approach in fostering a thriving coaching community. I am deeply grateful to the ICF Toronto chapter for the trust placed in me and for the opportunity to contribute to this incredible community.
At ICF Toronto, our mission is to elevate the coaching profession by creating opportunities for coaches to thrive in their personal and professional lives, and by ensuring we make a positive impact on individuals, organizations, and society as a whole.
As part of our continued growth, our chapter is focused on three strategic trajectories:
Build and Nurture a Thriving Chapter: We are dedicated to creating a strong, inclusive, and supportive community where members feel connected, valued, and empowered to achieve their goals. We strive to provide a space where coaching professionals can collaborate, share insights, and engage in continuous learning.
Advance Member Accreditation and Future-Ready Coaching and Business Practices: We recognize the importance of staying ahead of industry trends and evolving practices. We are committed to providing members with opportunities to advance their coaching skills, earn professional accreditations, and build sustainable businesses that are prepared for the future.
Advocate Awareness of Coaching Profession & Promote Local ICF Toronto Coaches: Our chapter is dedicated to increasing awareness of the coaching profession and showcasing the incredible work being done by our local coaches. Through outreach, thought leadership, and partnerships, we aim to raise the profile of coaching and highlight the value that ICF-certified coaches bring to their communities.
As your President, I am excited to work alongside an incredible team of leaders and members to bring these strategies to life and to continue elevating the coaching profession here in Toronto and beyond. Together, we will ensure that ICF Toronto remains a thriving, inclusive, and impactful community of coaches.
I invite you to explore our chapter’s offerings, get involved, and join us in shaping the future of coaching.
Warm regards,
Abirambika Ravivarman
President, ICF Toronto Chapter
