Mary-Ellen Hynd Coaching & Consulting
Principal & Founder, MBA, CPCC, PCC

Fun fact – fresh out of university, Mary-Ellen convinced Toronto City Councillor Jack Layton to champion her idea for a skate rental at Toronto City Hall. He typed an endorsement letter (on a typewriter!) which eventually led to the skate rental that exists today.

The drive, commitment and sense of community that brought the skate rental to life, continues in her work today – empowering individuals to overcome mental blocks, develop as leaders and move ideas to meaningful action to achieve greater success, fulfillment and impact.

Mary-Ellen has a consistent track record of making an impact in key areas of need as she leverages her diverse experience to empower others by delivering and evoking transformation with her insightful and compassionate approach. Her experience includes overseeing the development and execution of RBC – Canada’s largest bank’s student, professional, special needs programs and community investment partnerships, being handpicked as the first Executive Director for the Stephen Leacock Foundation for Children and contributing to the development of ISO’s first International Social Responsibility Guidance Standard as one of 400 global experts.

As a global executive coach & organizational strategist, Mary-Ellen partners with organizations and their talent to elevate leadership, resilience and communication. She was the lead coach for a capacity building initiative that addressed Canada’s family physician shortage during the Covid-19 pandemic.
