Lili Shalev-Shawn is an accomplished executive coach, strategic communications expert and entrepreneur. She has held senior leadership roles at both public and private sector global organizations, where she managed multi-functional teams and developed strategic plans and integrated campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands.
She now brings that experience, together with her pragmatic, creative approach, to helping her executive coaching clients excel in their own careers and achieve their professional and personal goals.
Her coaching practice is focused on leadership development for individuals, teams and organizations. Her clients come from a broad range of sectors, including healthcare (physicians, clinicians and healthcare executives) and the communications, advertising and marketing industry. Some of the companies her clients work at are KPMG, Klick Health, Women’s College Hospital, St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, Scotia Bank, Bell Canada, Indigo. She is an Adler trained coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Prior to launching her leadership coaching practice, she was the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at Women’s College Hospital (WCH) where she was responsible for leading the planning and implementation of all communications initiatives, including brand strategy, public affairs, digital communications, media relations, corporate communications and social media. As a passionate advocate for the advancement of women, equity and diversity, Lili created WCH’s public awareness campaign – Closing the Health Gap (www.thehealthgap.ca) – and the Thousand Voices for Women’s Health community engagement project (www.womenscollegehospital.ca/news-and-publications/1000voices).
Previously Lili held various leadership positions at some of the most renowned global communications agencies, including JWT (now Wunderman Thompson), BBDO, Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and FCB. Her roles encompassed strategic planning, new business development, mentoring and coaching, and leading marketing campaigns for clients like GlaxoSmithKline, Cadbury, Kellogg’s, Unilever, KFC, Nestle, IBM and . At JWT she also headed up the agency’s digital marketing team and launched the agency’s in-house video production studio.
Lili is also an entrepreneur who, in 2001, co-founded a multi-channel media venture – U8TV The Lofters. It was the first online TV channel and a Canadian primetime reality TV show which earned a Gemini Award nomination.
In addition, Lili volunteered her time to create The Do!nation Project, a non-profit organization that was aimed at raising national awareness for organ donation. As part of this campaign she produced a short film (http://bit.ly/DoNationProject) that portrays the incredible impact of organ donation on the lives of the donors, recipients and health professionals.
