I am Daisy Wright, founder and CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer) at The Wright Career Solution. As an Associated Certified Coach, Certified Career Development Practitioner, Certified Career Management, and Executive Leadership Development Coach, I collaborate with executives, managers and mid-career professionals to help them chart their career paths and get hired FASTER. I have authored three books, 21 Resilient Women, Tell Stories, Get Hired and the Canadian bestseller, No Canadian Experience, Eh? Over the years, I have contributed to more than 10 others on resume writing, career and interview coaching, and the job search.
I have been the recipient of several awards and recognition, including Outstanding Canadian Career Leader (three times), and was nominated by my peers and received the 2018 Outstanding Interview Strategist award from Career Professionals of Canada. I graduated from Ryerson University with a BA in Public Administration; received an Alumni of Distinction award from Conestoga College where I earned a Post-graduate Certificate in Career Development, and was recently nominated by the college for a 2021 Premier’s Award. In 2011 she was nominated for a Zonta Women of Achievement Award, and was twice nominated for an RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards (2019 and 2020).
As someone who believes in ongoing professional development, I have earned several certifications including ICF’s Associate Certified Coach, Certified Career Management Coach, Certified Executive Leadership Coach, Certified Career Development Practitioner, Certified Resume Strategist, Certified Career Transition Coach and Certified Work-Life Strategist. I am a member of the ICF (International Coach Federation), ICF Toronto Chapter, Career Professionals of Canada, and a former member of Forbes Coaches Council. I am also a former instructor in the Faculty of Business at Sheridan College where I taught Business Communication and other courses to the Executive Administration group.
In 2016, I launched the Let’s GROW Project, an initiative to offer one high-touch, high value coaching conversation to uplift and empower women, and encourage them to increase their confidence and leadership skills.
One of the highlights of my career was my employment with the UNIFEM (now UN Women) in New York, an assignment that contributed tremendously to my ability to understand and work with people from a variety of cultures.
