Chapter Bylaws Committee

Join Our Mission: Be an ICF Toronto Volunteer and Shape the Future of Our Chapter!

Are you passionate about good governance and eager to contribute your expertise to an impactful cause? We are excited to invite you to be a part of a new team of volunteers, working together to strengthen the foundation of our association through the rewriting of our bylaws.

What’s so interesting about this opportunity is that we have adopted a co-leadership model to embed DEI, increase collaboration, and deepen succession. This is a new structure which demands a new governance model.

Why volunteer with us?

  1. Make a Lasting Impact: As a volunteer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our chapter. By rewriting our bylaws, you will help establish clear guidelines, foster transparency, and ensure the effective functioning of our organization for years to come.
  2. Utilize Your Expertise: If you have experience in governance, policy development, or legal matters, this is a perfect opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge. Your expertise will directly influence the structure, decision-making processes, and overall effectiveness of our association.
  3. Professional Development: Volunteering to rewrite our bylaws is not only a chance to contribute but also a valuable opportunity for personal and professional growth. Enhance your understanding of governance principles, refine your drafting abilities, and gain hands-on experience in organizational development.
  4. Collaborative Environment: Join a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about leadership, coaching, DEI, and good governance. Work alongside fellow volunteers who share your dedication and commitment, while building meaningful relationships and expanding your network within the field.

How Can You Get Involved?

  1. ICF Toronto Bylaws Drafting Committee: Join our committee dedicated to rewriting the Chapters bylaws. Work collaboratively to review the existing framework, identify areas for improvement, and develop comprehensive and forward-thinking bylaws that reflect the needs and goals of our association.
  2. Legal and Governance Expertise: If you have a background in law, governance, or policy development, you can contribute by providing valuable insights and guidance throughout the rewriting process. Your expertise will ensure that our bylaws are robust, legally sound, and align with best practices.
  3. Review and Feedback: We value diverse perspectives. As a volunteer, you can contribute by reviewing and providing feedback on the draft bylaws. Your input will help us refine the document and ensure that it accurately represents the interests and aspirations of our association’s members.
  4. Project Management Support: If you have project management skills, you can assist in coordinating the bylaws rewriting process. Help schedule meetings, track progress, and ensure that all necessary steps are followed to achieve our goal efficiently and effectively.

Together, let’s establish a strong governance framework that will empower our organization to thrive.
