Community of Practice, Science & Spirituality | Why Coaches Need To Study Philosophy (At Least A Little Bit)

Why Coaches Need To Study Philosophy (At Least A Little Bit)

The Community of Practice on Science & Spirituality is born from a shared curiosity — to explore how evidence-based science and lived spiritual wisdom can together deepen the art and practice of coaching. As coaches, we often stand at the intersection of the measurable and the meaningful — helping clients translate insight into action while also nurturing connection, purpose, and wholeness.

Through this community, we aim to:

  • Explore the science behind human potential, consciousness, and wellbeing.

  • Reflect on how spirituality — in its many forms — informs presence, intuition, and connection.

  • Integrate these dimensions into our coaching conversations with awareness and integrity.

  • Learn from each other’s experiences, research, and diverse worldviews.

This Community of Practice will be a blend of reflection, dialogue, and practice — weaving together neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, systems thinking, mindfulness, and contemplative traditions. The intention is not to arrive at answers, but to stay open to discovery — both intellectually and experientially.

Let’s co-create a space that honours both the rigour of science and the mystery of spirit — one that nurtures our growth as coaches and as human beings.
