About the Practice Lab

The ICF Core Competencies Practice Lab is an experiential learning series designed for coaches to explore, practice, and deepen their understanding of the ICF Core Competencies — live and in real time.

Through hands-on participation, reflection, and guided feedback, this session provides a supportive space to strengthen your coaching presence, integrate learnings, and build confidence in applying the ICF framework at all levels.

Session Focus: “The Space Between: How Coaches Create Safety Without Saying a Word

In this 75-minute interactive lab, participants will:

  • Real-time insight into how trust and safety are created—and perceived—within coaching conversations
  • Increased awareness of subtle cues that signal when a client feels open or moves into protection
  • Experiential learning through live demonstrations, guided reflection, and hands-on coaching practice
  • A deeper understanding of how presence, language, pacing, and response patterns shape the client experience

Session includes:

  • A highly interactive format featuring breakout room coaching practice, group discussions, and live Q&A
  • Observation exercises focused on identifying moments of client expansion and contraction
  • Guided reflection and embodied practices to strengthen awareness and emotional regulation
  • Immediate application of concepts such as neuroscience and intercultural awareness through discussion and practice

About the Facilitator

Traci-Lynn Burt is the founder of Cornerstone Consulting Canada and a leadership development consultant, executive coach, and facilitator with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals, teams, and organizations to grow with clarity and purpose. Known for her grounded, relational approach, she works at the intersection of leadership, identity, and transformation—helping clients move beyond surface-level change toward sustainable, values-driven growth.

A Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a Senior Certified Coach with Leadership Coaching Canada, Traci-Lynn brings a high standard of coaching excellence to her work. She is also a certified practitioner in Birkman and Grip-Birkman assessments, supporting deep self-awareness and practical application.

Through Cornerstone Consulting Canada, she partners with leaders and organizations committed to meaningful growth. Her facilitation style is both invitational and challenging—creating space for honest reflection while encouraging intentional action. She specializes in leadership development, team dynamics, strategic planning, navigating change, and conflict resolution.
