June 18 ~ 2014 Member Meeting

Please join us for a special Wine & Cheese gathering with Lynne Everatt, and welcome in the summer with The Joy of Sweat.

“Both tears and sweat are salty, but they render a different result. Tears will get you sympathy; sweat will get you change.”
-Jesse Jackson

Physical activity is the catalyst that has been proven to change lives and bodies, but the physical transformation resulting from fitness is the least of what sweat has to offer you and your clients.The Joy of Sweat will encourage you to consider fitness in a broader mind-body context and suggest that you prescribe exercise – especially aerobic exercise – for all of your coaching clients.

Sweat is the miracle elixir that your body makes just for you, and Lynne’s mission is to sell sweat like the blockbuster life-changing product it is.

Participants will learn:

  • To be able to explain why our bodies need physical activity;
  • To identify the three main ways physical activity can improve the lives of coaching clients;
  • To be able to write a prescription for physical activity for clients that specifies its ideal frequency, duration and intensity.

About Lynne Everatt…

Lynne Everatt is the author of the Leacock Award-nominated Emails from the Edge, co-author of Drink Wine and Giggle and a former Globe and Mail careers columnist. If it weren’t for sweat, Lynne would likely still be working in the bowels of finance at a mega-pharmaceutical company excreting numbers. Physical fitness calmed her mind, energized her body and gave her the courage to change careers from numbers to words and from the written word to the spoken word.

Join us and find out how sweat lubricates the mind for peak performance and why you should prescribe it for ALL of your coaching clients to create positive, lasting and meaningful change!
