Volunteer Opportunities
Position description:
Reporting to the co-directors of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing / Communications Committee will include eight volunteers who will help manage the marketing & communications for one of the eight portfolios of the ICF Toronto Board of Directors.
There are one or two volunteers for each portfolio.
The volunteers will work closely with the portfolio Director and will have strategic influence and autonomy in managing the marketing/communications activity for that portfolio.
The five portfolios are:
- Membership & Volunteering
- Community & Corporate Outreach
- Education, Learning & Professional Development
- DEI
- Marketing & Communications
Requirements for candidates:
- General experience with brand strategy, marketing planning and communications activities including writing/editing, content creation, social media management, social media monitoring
- Contribute to the strategy and content for ICF Toronto’s website, monthly newsletter, social posts, blogs, event promotions, media outreach
- Ability to use tools like Canva, Hootsuite, Wild Apricot, etc., or any other tools that can support marketing/communications activity.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively
- Partner with the Board Directors and be their trusted advisor on any marketing/communications needs
- Work with ICF Toronto’s marketing & communications external vendors
Expected time investment: One hour per month for team meetings, one to two hours per week for committee work.
