Social Media for Building Business

Join us May 21st, when Andrew Jenkins will be exploring social media and its effective use for marketing and business development. Andrew will look at a different spin on social CRM – using social media for personal and company branding, as well as profiling prospects, clients, and target connections for stronger relationships and higher revenue.

Participants will gain:

  • A review of LinkedIn profiles, how to optimize them for discoverability and professional appearance, and strategies for turning profiles into sales tools.
  • A review of the features and functions of the different types of LinkedIn accounts, and how to use them to prospect and mine for insights regarding companies and individuals.
  • An introduction of social CRM strategy, listening and engagement, including tools and processes.

About Andrew Jenkins…

Andrew Jenkins is Founder of Volterra, which manages the social media activities for small and medium businesses. He is also a partner in ArCompany, a social intelligence consultancy. His previous experience includes consulting to RBC as the Head of Social Media Strategy, as well as numerous public and private sector clients. He has spent the last twenty years working in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) spanning social media, wireless, and e-business. He holds a BA in Economics from Laurentian University, a BFA in Film Production from York University, and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management. He also teaches entrepreneurship at OCAD University and Digital Strategy at U of T’s School of Continuing Education.
